What does Yada do?

There’s always something happening @ Yada.
Here are some of the ways we offer hope to women in need.

  • Fair Trade & Resale Boutique

Yada is first a fair-trade and resale boutique. The resale side of Yada is the heart of what Yada was created to do … provide in tangible ways for women referred to Yada to shop for free in a safe and dignifying place. We have our resale items set in a boutique style that offers a supportive setting.

Our fair trade products are curated from global partnerships with people and organizations we know personally and who align with our core values. We recently expanded our fair trade sourcing to include survivor-made organizations. We purchase these fair-trade items outright, ensuring fair wages and direct support to women globally impacted by sexual exploitation.

Yada invites the community to donate and shop @ Yada to help raise awareness of the sexual exploitation happening in our city and around the globe.

  • Car Care Clinic

Car Care Clinic is a service that a group of guys offer for free. Our volunteers perform basic maintenance and check-ups on the vehicles @ Yada. This service continues to grow and expand to other transportation needs the women have.

  • Addiction Recovery Group

An Addiction Recovery Group meets weekly @ Yada. This has grown to be a vital part of the holistic healing process in overcoming addiction and sexual exploitation.

  • Trauma Therapy

Trauma therapy is offered weekly @ Yada with an experienced trauma therapist. Women are able to meet with her in a known and safe space.

  • Community Resources

Through our 25 years of living in Madison, Don and Beth have fostered friendships and relationships with business professionals. These relationships have partnered with us to provide pro bono services for the women. Examples include: oral surgery, dentistry, legal services, chiropractic services, health club memberships, hair salons, and nail salons.

  • Advocacy (Walking Alongside)

Every city has many bureaucratic systems that are complicated to navigate. @ Yada, we have a support team of volunteers to go to medical appointments, court dates, child advocacy appointments, etc. to help women and children through difficult circumstances.
